Klarius Group supports the growth of key distributor with new QH delivery van

Pontypridd based component distributor Autoparts has added a brand new QH liveried delivery van its delivery fleet. This has been provided by component manufacturer Klarius Group in recognition for Autoparts’ longstanding commitment to delivering high levels of local customer service. The new van will help to improve sales even further, while reducing operating costs, a welcome bonus in the current climate.  Autoparts has stocked and sold quality QH brand components for over three decades and after seeing significant growth in distribution over consecutive years the QH branded van is there to cope with increased demand.

Autoparts has been trading from it headquarters in Pontypridd since 1962 when it was founded by Mr H. N. Edwards. Originally distributing locally made car batteries, the company quickly started to extend its stock and in the early 1970s began to act as a distributor for Quinton Hazell. From these beginnings the company has continued to grow, passing through three generations of family ownership; it is now managed by Mr Edwards’ grandson, Nick Edwards.

Autoparts and QH has continued to work together closely for 40 years; Autoparts expanding its stock profile as QH continued to produce a wider range of components. Following the rejuvenating buy-out of QH by the Klarius Group, Autoparts now also stocks Klarius exhausts and catalytic converters. In total its stock profile is in excess of 100,000 part numbers; approximately 80% of these products are supplied by the Klarius Group.

Nick Edwards comments: “Our relationship with QH has always been based around a mutual commitment to product quality and customer service. As my grandfather, and in turn father, grew the business with increased stock profiles and a growing delivery fleet, it was always QH that was able to deliver the latest components; always manufactured to OE quality or better. The strength of the relationship has only improved since the buyout, the modern approach to manufacturing and inclusion of the Klarius range of emission control products has helped us to see consecutive years of record growth.”

The Klarius Group works hard to build on established relationships to develop a symbiotic growth. By modernising the manufacturing process and investing heavily in R&D, the Klarius group now boasts Europe’s widest range of aftermarket automotive components, available to distributors on extremely short lead times;  allowing its distributors to maintain a reputation for reliability, availability of the latest parts and quick delivery.

Bill Godfrey, Klarius Group UK Sales Manager, adds: “We enjoy an extremely healthy relationship with Autoparts. The company shares our commitment to customer satisfaction and has developed a fantastic reputation for stocking quality products and delivering a highly professional service. We believe that it is part of our duty to help Autoparts continue to grow and flourish as one of our leading distributors. To help it continue to deliver fast service with increased demand, we have supplied a new, fully liveried, Klarius QH delivery van.”

The van is a super economical Peugeot diesel Bipper delivery van provided free for Autoparts to use for three years and is strongly liveried with both Autoparts and Klarius Group logos, to match the rest of Autoparts delivery fleet.
